For the 32nd time, the Foundation for Polish Science awarded one hundred young researchers with prestigious scholarships under the START program. Among the distinguished participants was Marcin Jakubiec, M.A. from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Jagiellonian University Medical College! Marcin Jakubiec, M.A., works in the team of prof. Krzysztof Kamiński and is engaged in the search for new antiepileptic drugs.
The START program of the Foundation for Polish Science is the oldest scholarship program in Poland for the best young scientists representing all fields of science. Since 1993, its goal has been to support outstanding young scientists and encourage them to pursue further scientific development. Scholarships are a distinction for young scientists who, although just starting their scientific career, can already demonstrate significant research achievements.
In the current edition of the competition, the FNP received 641 applications. Young scientists up to 30 years of age can apply for the scholarship. Scholarship holders of the START program are selected through a multi-stage competition. The candidates’ achievements, documented by patents or publications in recognized Polish and foreign scientific journals, are assessed by scientists who are authorities in their fields.
We would like to congratulate M.A. Marcin Jakubiec on this great achievement and wish him further success!
