Krakow Pharmacy’s Success in The Shanghai Ranking

We are pleased to announce that in this year’s ShanghaiRankingGlobal Ranking of Academic Subjects, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences discipline, conducted at the Jagiellonian University Medical College, was the only one in Poland to be ranked in the 201-300 range! 

Jagiellonian University was noted in a total of 13 disciplines, the most among the 25 Polish universities included in the ranking: public health (101-150), mathematics and veterinary sciences (151-200), clinical medicine, dentistry, medical technology, pharmaceutical sciences, physics (201-300), psychology (301-400), biological sciences, chemical engineering, chemistry and ecology (401-500).

GRAS is an international list of universities rated in terms of 54 academic disciplines, published since 2009 and prepared by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, an independent higher education research organization, and also known for its global university ranking, the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). The authors of the ranking take five criteria into account: the number of publications in a given discipline in journals in the first quartile in terms of Impact Factor, normalized citation impact, international collaborations assessed on publication basis, the number of articles published in top journals, and prestigious awards received by researchers in selected fields.
