The National Science Centre has announced the results of the 23rd edition of the OPUS competition – aimed at all scientists – and PRELUDIUM 21 – aimed at those starting their scientific careers.
Researchers from the Faculty of Pharmacy have won funding of more than 3 million zlotys.
Funding for the OPUS 23 grant was awarded to Prof. dr hab. Krzysztof Kamiński of the Chair of Pharmaceutical Chemistry – Novel positive allosteric modulators of the EAAT2 transporter for glutamate as candidates for the treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders (2,884,054 PLN)
Meanwhile, funding for the PRELUDIUM 21 grant was awarded to Mgr Kinga Czarnota (M.Sc.), from the Department of Drug Technology and Biotechnology – Combining FAAH enzyme inhibition with action through the serotonin 5-HT6 receptor as a pioneering approach to combat Alzheimer’s disease (209,984 PLN)
