The Department of Pharmaceutical Biochemistry at the Jagiellonian University Medical College offers the following subjects:
Biochemistry, for second-year students of Pharmacy;
Biochemistry for second-year students of Medical Analysis
Biotechnology in Cosmetology, for first-year students of Cosmetology, full-time and part-time studies;
Biology in Pharmaceutical Sciences – for first-year students of Drug Discovery and Development.
Biology in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Biochemistry) lectures will be held on-line starting from October 24, 2025, according to the schedule available on the Faculty website and the Pegaz platform.
Biology in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Biochemistry) laboratory classes will take place in the biochemical laboratory of the Department of Pharmaceutical Biochemistry – Building F, Room 01/15 starting from November 14, 2025 according to the schedule available on the Faculty website and the Pegaz platform.
During laboratory classes, students are required to:
wear disposable gloves,
wear a lab coat, safety goggles, and appropriate footwear with a stable sole,
keep long hair securely tied back to prevent contact with chemical reagents.
Each student must bring a report and protocol for the respective laboratory session (available on the Pegaz platform). Students are expected to be familiar with the methodology of each exercise in advance.
