“Beyond the Stethoscope – In Search of Alternative Career Paths After Graduating from Medical School”
Dr. hab. Adam Stefański – A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Pomeranian Medical University (PUM) in Szczecin and a long-time employee of the university’s clinics. He is a specialist in internal medicine, endocrinology, and diabetology. After his studies, he worked as a researcher abroad, including at INSERM laboratories in France and in Germany at the University of Heidelberg, where he earned a PhD in medical sciences. He continued his academic development in Poland, obtaining a habilitation degree in medical sciences at PUM in Szczecin. For over a decade, he has worked in research and development at a multinational pharmaceutical company. He is the author or co-author of several dozen scientific publications, including those in journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Hypertension, and Diabetes Obesity and Metabolism.
The meeting will be moderated by Professor Tomasz Klupa (Department of Metabolic Diseases, Faculty of Medicine at the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow).
The organizer plans to issue participation certificates for those interested.
