Recruitment

Full-time Studies

The Cosmetology programme is a two-year, second-cycle degree with a general academic profile, preparing students for work in health and beauty promotion facilities, such as wellness centres, SPA salons, beauty parlours, as well as in the cosmetic industry and research and industrial laboratories. Graduating from this programme also provides the opportunity to pursue third-cycle studies at the Doctoral School of Medical and Health Sciences or to seek employment at universities and research institutes.

Individuals eligible to enrol in the Cosmetology programme must hold a diploma of higher education (at least a Bachelor’s degree) in Cosmetology or any other field. Applicants with a degree in a field other than Cosmetology must additionally meet one of the following criteria:

  • Completion of a minimum two-year post-secondary cosmetology programme (certified with a diploma of cosmetic services technician).
  • Completion of at least one year of postgraduate studies in cosmetology, aesthetic medicine, or aesthetic dermatology (certified by a postgraduate diploma).
  • A 12-month internship in a beauty salon, cosmetology clinic, or dermatology clinic.

The recruitment process considers the diploma exam grade and the average grade from the candidate’s studies. The ranking list of candidates is determined based on the average points obtained in these two categories. For candidates who have completed a field of study other than Cosmetology, the final score is multiplied by 0.9.

Details regarding the recruitment for the Cosmetology programme can be found on the websites of the Recruitment Department and the Online Candidate Recruitment System.

Part-time Studies

The recruitment rules for part-time studies in the Cosmetology programme are analogous to those for full-time studies and are described above.

Part-time studies in the Cosmetology programme follow a weekend format, with classes held on Saturdays and Sundays.

The tuition fee for one year of study is 8,400 PLN (payable in 8 instalments).

For Foreigners

Eligibility for the recruitment process requires a Polish language proficiency certificate at a minimum B1 level and a diploma of first-cycle studies (Bachelor’s or equivalent).

The recruitment process considers the results of the interview. The interview is conducted in Polish, and its purpose is to assess the candidate’s language skills, particularly the knowledge of vocabulary in the field of chemical and biological sciences, and to evaluate the competencies allowing them to undertake second-cycle studies in the Cosmetology programme. The basis for determining the ranking list of candidates is the points awarded after the interview. The points obtained by candidates who completed a field of study other than Cosmetology are multiplied by 0.9.

Detailed information and the list of required documents can be found on the websites of the Online Candidate Recruitment System for full-time studies and part-time studies*.
