The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, awarded professor nominations to 60 academic teachers and representatives of science and art. Among the newly appointed professors, representing 47 scientific institutions, were also representatives of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. The ceremony took place on Friday, November 29, at the Presidential Palace.
The title of professor, granted by the President of the Republic of Poland upon the recommendation of the Council of Scientific Excellence, is the highest recognition for individuals with outstanding scientific or artistic achievements. This decision, preceded by the countersignature of the Prime Minister, crowns the efforts of habilitated researchers who conduct pioneering studies, lead research teams, or excel in exceptional artistic activities.
