The international path to success began this September when Dr. Marcin Jakubiec received a distinction in the national Student Inventor competition. Organized by the Kielce University of Technology and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, this initiative opened the doors for the Krakow-based scientists to present their technology at the world’s most important invention exhibitions.
The technology, which leverages the unique properties of deuterium to improve drug stability and efficacy, was appreciated by international juries, winning:
- Gold Medal at the International Warsaw Invention Show IWIS 2025;
- Silver Medal at the iENA 2025 trade fair in Nuremberg – one of the oldest and most prestigious exhibitions in Europe;
- Bronze Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions ARCA 2025 in Zagreb.
A particular source of pride is the success achieved during the IWIS 2025 exhibition, where, in addition to the gold medal, the project was honored with a special distinction – the Domestic Semi Grand Prix Award. This award is granted exclusively to solutions with the highest implementation potential and outstanding scientific value.
This series of awards confirms that scientists from Krakow are setting new standards in medicinal chemistry, aiming for safer and more durable therapies for patients.
The culmination of this series of presentations will be the team’s participation in the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva in 2026 – the largest event of its kind in Europe, gathering investors and inventors from around the globe.
