Pharmacy and Medical Analytics at Jagiellonian University Medical College recognized as the best in Poland for the twelfth time!

This is another year that the Faculty of Pharmacy, Jagiellonian University Medical College (UJ CM) maintains its leading position in the country. Pharmacy and Medical Analytics programs have been ranked at the top of the Perspektywy University Ranking for the twelfth time, confirming the highest level of education and scientific achievements.
This is a great honor for us and proof of the quality of education, research, and the continuous commitment of the entire faculty community – students, academic staff, and our partners.
Congratulations to everyone who contributes to this success!
Heartfelt congratulations also go to other departments of Jagiellonian University – Collegium Medicum and Jagiellonian University – together we create science at the highest level!
– The results of the Perspektywy ranking are excellent for Jagiellonian University – Collegium Medicum, because as many as eight of our programs ranked first, positioning our university as the best medical school in Poland. The joy is even greater because Jagiellonian University won a total of 18 first places for its programs and ranked 2nd in the university ranking with a minimal loss to the University of Warsaw – comments prof. Maciej Małecki, JU Vice-Rector for CM. – I extend my sincere thanks to the academic staff of all three faculties, because this result is mainly their merit. These places would not have been achieved without the results of our students and graduates. I also thank the administrative staff who support the teaching process. Today’s award ceremony is a nice touch to conclude a successful academic year.

The Perspektywy University Ranking consists of three complementary lists: the Ranking of Academic Universities, the Ranking of Vocational Universities, and the Ranking of Study Programs – the most important from the perspective of prospective students. It covers 75 key programs or groups of programs that must be offered full-time at a given university – as integrated master’s studies or as first and second-cycle studies (ensuring students the possibility to continue their education in the same field after completing first-cycle studies at the same university). Medical rescue is an exception.

In this year’s ranking, 12 medical and health-related fields were evaluated. Jagiellonian University Medical College’s results include eight first places (medical analytics, pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, nursing, midwifery, medical rescue, public health) and second place for dietetics, classified in the agricultural, forestry, and veterinary fields category.

Waldemar Siwiński, its creator and head, says about the annual ranking: The “Perspektywy” ranking embodies the vision of an ideal university – a model that we adapt each year to the changing reality. World-class research, excellent teaching, cooperation with business, and activity in global science – these are what students, graduates, and the university’s environment expect today.

This year, the ranking was conducted for the 26th time. The correctness of compiling the list of the best Polish universities was overseen by a chapter, chaired for years by Professor Michał Kleiber, former president of the Polish Academy of Sciences and chairman of the Polish Committee for UNESCO.

Jagiellonian University Medical College will be represented at the ceremony by: JU Vice-Rector for CM, Professor Maciej Małecki, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Przemko Kwinta, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs in dentistry, Dr. hab. Katarzyna Szczeklik, **Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Marcin Kołaczkowski**, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. hab. Piotr Pierzchalski, JU Professor.
