As reported by the Ministry of Science, this is not only a prestigious award but, above all, real support for the most talented researchers who are already shaping the future of Polish science, innovation, and culture. In this year’s edition of the competition, a record number of 1,711 applications were submitted, confirming the growing interest in the program and its importance for the development of young scientific staff in Poland. The applications were evaluated using a point-based method by an independent team of experts, all while maintaining the highest standards of transparency and equal access to support for representatives of all disciplines.
This year, scholarships were awarded to 228 individuals, including 34 doctoral students, representing a total of 53 scientific and artistic disciplines. The Ministry of Science will allocate over 44 million PLN for this purpose. The highest number of laureates comes from the Jagiellonian University (27), the University of Warsaw (17), Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (9), Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (8 each).
