More Oenologists with University Certificates from Jagiellonian University

The latest, 13th edition of postgraduate studies in Oenology, conducted at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum, has come to an end. On Saturday, March 1st this year, a graduation ceremony was held at the Faculty of Pharmacy to award certificates to graduates, along with prizes funded by the head of studies, Dr. Eng. Maciej Gawlik, for educational achievements. In the presence of the head of studies and representatives of the teaching staff: Dr. Joanna Chłopicka from the Department of Bromatology, Michał Jancik, a titled Polish sommelier, and Ms. Iwona Zagrodnik, as well as the invaluable organizer and animator of the studies, Dr. Danuta Plichta from the Department of Experimental Dermatology and Cosmetology, the graduates concluded their oenological adventure at our Faculty. The joyful atmosphere of the meeting was enhanced by a congratulatory letter read out from the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. habil. Marcin Kołaczkowski, which, in addition to congratulations, included wishes for further success not only in the field of wine science but also in the professional and private lives of the graduates.

There is no doubt that oenology studies at the Krakow Faculty of Pharmacy are a unique phenomenon, considering that 13 years ago they were the first university postgraduate studies in this field in the country’s history. The studies continuously have an oversupply of candidates in subsequent editions, and all students in the surveys evaluating the course of study emphasize the extraordinary atmosphere in all classes. It is therefore not surprising that during the ceremony, the graduates sincerely thanked all the lecturers and the technical and administrative staff of the course, and as a token of gratitude, they presented a large basket of their own oenological products as a gift.
