We are thrilled to announce that yesterday in Warsaw, Prof. Krzysztof Kamiński was honored with the prestigious CEBioForum Award in the R&D Collaboration category!
The CEBioForum Awards are among the most important distinctions in the life sciences sector in Central Europe. Since 2010, they have recognized companies, research teams, and leaders whose activities significantly contribute to the development of biotechnology, effectively bridging the worlds of science and industry while strengthening our region’s global position.
This distinguished award is the result of a highly fruitful collaboration between Prof. Krzysztof Kamiński’s research team and the American biotechnology company iQure Pharma Inc. The outcome of their joint efforts is the development of an innovative drug candidate – the iQ-007 molecule.
What is particularly important is that iQ-007 originates entirely from academic research, and its further clinical development was made possible through close cooperation between academia and business. This is an excellent example of the successful translation of basic research into real therapeutic solutions that can transform patients’ lives!
We sincerely thank and congratulate all collaborators, researchers, and partners for their immense contribution to the development of this promising project.
Special words of gratitude go to the teams at the Faculty of Pharmacy JU MC, the Centre for Technology Transfer CITTRU JU, the Jagiellonian University Medical College, and everyone directly involved in executing the research.
Huge congratulations also go to the entire team at iQure Pharma Inc.! We eagerly await the next stages of development for the iQ-007 project!
