SSG of Molecular Pharmacology

Department:Chair of Technology and Biotechnology of Drugs

Chairman: Łucja Adrian

Supervisor: Tadeusz Karcz, Ph.D.

About the SSG:

SSG of Molecular Pharmacology focuses on studying the mechanisms of drug candidates at the molecular level. SSG members participate in preclinical research, searching for compounds that interact with various biological targets, such as membrane receptors and enzymes of therapeutic importance. Another key area of student activity is the assessment of drug-like properties of tested substances. The group offers the possibility to learn modern research techniques, such as genetic engineering, flow cytometry, cell cultures, real-time polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR), and western blotting. Additionally, members have the opportunity to present their findings at scientific conferences and contribute to research publications.

Admission criteria:
Students of at least the 2nd year of Pharmacy and Medical Analytics studies or at least the 1st year of DDD studies.

Recruitment process:
candidates can register for the SSG by contacting the Supervisor or the Chairman via email.
